Thelma M. Foster, 94, of the Mountain Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield and formerly of West Decatur died Tuesday, July 19, 2011.
Born April 5, 1917, she was the daughter of the late David and Gertrude (Wisor) Wisor. Mrs. Foster was the last of her generation.
She was a seamstress at McGregor’s Sportswear, Clearfield and also worked at the Best Western, Clearfield. She enjoyed playing BINGO, making pillows and loved shopping.
Mrs. Foster was of the Protestant faith.
She was married to Rayford H. Foster and who died in July of 1957.
In addition to her parents and husband, she’s preceded in death by one son, Keith Leon Foster; one daughter, Darla Fahr Cogan; an infant daughter, Susanne Foster; one great grandson, Dylan Bowers; two brothers, Roy L. Wisor and Floyd Wisor; and four sisters, Lena Williams, Geneva Maines, Lucretia Lansberry and Edna Dixon.
Mrs. Foster is survived by two daughters and three sons, Audrey Harrier; Karen Guenot and her husband, Rodney; Gerald L. Foster and his wife, Sonja; Larry F. Foster; and Rodney H. Foster and his wife, Carol     all of West Decatur.
Also surviving Mrs. Foster are 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and seven great great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home, 228 N. Centre St. Philipsburg, with Pastor Stanley M. Wisor officiating.
Burial will be in Spring Valley Cemetery, West Decatur.
Friends will be received from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
