An incident of simple assault was reported at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the west side of Grant Road in Ridgway Township, Elk County. A 38-year-old Ridgway woman’s 16-year-old son allegedly struck her several times, causing injuries. Her son then fled scene and was later found at another residence. Charges are filed with the Elk County Juvenile Probation.
A 47-year-old St. Marys man and a 49-year-old DuBois woman were involved with removing an all-terrain vehicle and other items that didn’t belong to them from a garage owned by a 27-year-old St. Marys man. Charges of theft of a motor vehicle and theft were filed with the district court in St. Marys.
While on routine patrol at 3:05 a.m. Saturday, police initiated a traffic stop at Thunder and West Theresia Roads in St. Marys. After further investigation, it was determined that five St. Marys teens had consumed alcoholic beverages. Charges were filed against them for the purchase, consumption, possession or transportation of liquor or malt or brewed beverages.
