Denzel H. Lauder, 73, formerly of Bigler and most recently of Frenchville died Sunday at the Clearfield Hospital. Born on Aug. 11, 1937, he was the son of Hayes and Agatha (Duck) Lauder.
Mr. Lauder was the owner and operator of the Lauder Trucking Company. He attended the Curwensville Christian Church.
He was a veteran and served in the U. S. Army. He also belonged to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1785 of Clearfield, the John Lewis Shade Post #6 of the American Legion, the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #97 of Clearfield and the Mosquito Creek Sportsmen’s Club.
He’s survived by three children, Kimberly A. McDowell and her husband, Norman of Pine Top; Dennis B. Lauder and his wife, Rhonda of Frenchville; and Betty J. Lauder of Gilbert, AZ; seven grandchildren, Travis McDowell and his wife Julie; Denzel McDowell; Bruce Lauder; Jacob Lauder and his wife, Maria; Elliott Lauder; Garrett Lauder; and Dante Nacarato; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Gerald Lauder and his wife, Cindy of Bigler.
Mr. Lauder was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Doris J. Lauder and a brother, James Lauder.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home Inc. of Clearfield with the Rev. George Cannon officiating. Interment will be at Bigler Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 7 – 9 p.m. Tuesday, and 1 p.m. until the hour of the services Wednesday.
Military honors will be accorded at the funeral home by Clearfield American Legion Post #6 and the VFW Post #1785 Honor Guard.
