An incident of burglary was reported at the Sykesville Fairgrounds at approximately 2 p.m. July 6. Three suspects allegedly broke into the maintenance building to obtain a hammer, which was then used to break the door handle to the food building.
Once inside, the three suspects and a fourth suspect allegedly removed Diet Coke and Diet Pepsi. A 10-year-old boy allegedly poured dish soap all over the floor, creating a mess.
He then removed a package of hot dogs from the freezer with the intent to take them. All four boys were caught at the scene and charges of burglary, theft by unlawful taking, criminal mischief and criminal conspiracy are pending against all four.
