CLEARFIELD – Next week, Centre County drivers will encounter a work zone as roadway resurfacing takes place on Skytop Mountain Road (Route 3042). Crews will be working July 11 through 15 between the I-99 overpass and Waddle Road.
A daylight, alternating traffic pattern will be in place and drivers can expect to encounter flaggers on the roadway. Short travel delays are possible. Â PennDOT reminds drivers to use caution and not to follow trucks into the closed lane as they deliver material.
The work on Skytop Mountain Road is part of a $6.7 million contract, which covers 19 routes in Centre and Clinton counties. Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc. is the contractor on this job.
PennDOT reminds motorists they can log on to 511pa.com or call 511 from any phone to check traffic conditions before heading out. Â
