HYDE – The Clearfield American Legion Post 8 baseball team won by a 7-0 forfeit when Brookville was unable to field a starting lineup for Saturday evening’s Jefferson County League game at the Bison Sports Complex.

The Chiefs, 4-3 in the JCL and 4-7 overall, face a busy week of home games, taking on Punxsutawney Monday and Reynoldsville Wednesday at the Bison Sports Complex before hosting pairs of Pennsylvania Wood Bat Championship opponents Friday and Saturday at the Lawrence Township Recreation Park Field.

A non-league road game against Brookville Wood Products has been cancelled.

Manager Sid Lansberry announced that two JCL postponements with DuBois have been rescheduled, June 27 at DuBois and June 29 at the Bison Sports Complex.
