GRAHAM TOWNSHIP – A Sandy Ridge woman was taken to Altoona for treatment of her injuries following a motor-vehicle accident on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the state police in Clearfield, Eleanor M. Miller, 87, was traveling west on Interstate 80 when she want off the north berm for unknown reasons. Her vehicle rotated 45 degrees, counterclockwise as she attempted to steer back onto the road. The vehicle then overturned once before coming to rest on its wheels. It then traveled backwards where it came to rest in a ditch.
She was not wearing her seat belt and suffered moderate injuries. She was taken to Altoona Regional by Moshannon Valley Emergency Medical Services.
Police were also assisted at the scene by Winburne Fire Department and Folmar’s Towing.
