Helen Jeanne (Tharp) Gressler, 72 of DuBois and formerly of Pittsburgh died Thursday at the UPMC Hamot Medical Cente, Erie.
Born Oct. 14, 1938 in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Jean (Marshall) Tharp. She was a member of the St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church in Falls Creek.Â
She loved animals and birds and enjoyed going to yard sales and fishing, especially on trips to Northern Ontario, Canada.
Mrs. Gressler was retired from the DuBois Public Library after many years of service.
She married Robert M. Gressler on June 18, 1960. He survives. She is also survived by three sons, Robert J., James E. and Steven P. Gressler, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 2 – 5 p.m. Sunday at the Goble- Baronick Funeral Home, DuBois.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the St. Bernard’s Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Marc Stockton as celebrant.
Burial will follow in Morningside Cemetery.
