Jack B. Peoples, 72, of Curwensville, went home to be with the Lord on May 22, 2011 at his home.
Mr. Peoples was born on April 23, 1939 in Clearfield, the son of Bryan and Ruth (Heise) Peoples.
He retired in 2001 from Clearfield Machine after 37 years of service.
Mr. Peoples was a member of the Curwensville First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda L. (Wilsoncroft) Peoples, whom he married January 9, 1960, three daughters and two sons; Ruth Ann Tobias of Curwensville, Dennis J. Peoples and his wife Valerie of Glen Richey, Diana K. Boyer and her husband Jon of Grampian, Jody L. Peoples and his wife Patricia of Curwensville and Judy L. Kester and her husband Charles of Dover, PA., eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, two sisters; Rosalie Irwin, and Shirley Walk and a brother, James Peoples.
Mr. Peoples was preceded in death by his parents, six sisters; Marie Rummings, Dorothy Withey, Louise Rummings, Althea Hudson, Jean Selfridge and Pearl Peoples, three brothers; Lester, Ted and Fay Peoples and a son-in-law, Dennis Tobias.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on May 25 at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home Inc., of Clearfield with Rev. Daniel M. Osterhout officiating. Interment will be in Thompson Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on May 24 from 4-8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of services.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
