An Act 64 violation was reported at 11:40 a.m. Thursday at the Reynlow Park off Sportsman’s Dam Road in Winslow Township, Jefferson County. A 21-year-old Reynoldsville male and a known 16-year-old male juvenile were parked at the shale pit in the park, an area posed by the Pennsylvania Game Commission where vehicles are prohibited.
An odor of burned marijuana was detected emanating from the interior of the vehicle when it was approached by a wildlife conservation officer and the PGC. The state police was notified and responded to the scene.
Consent to search the vehicle was conducted, and numerous items of drug paraphernalia as well as a small amount of marijuana were seized from the vehicle. Both males were placed under arrest for possession of a small amount of marijuana and of drug paraphernalia.
