CLEARFIELD – No injuries were reported in an accident involving an overturned vehicle on Riverview Road.
According to the Lawrence Township Police Department, a Clearfield woman was turning from Coal Hill Road onto Riverview Road when another motorists turned left in front of her from the stop sign. A collision was avoided, however the Clearfield woman failed to regain control after swerving on the wet road and struck a utility pole and trailer parked along the road. The vehicle came to a rest on its side against a tree. No injuries were reported.
The responsible vehicle fled the scene. It is described as a dark blue or black late model sedan driven by an elderly woman.  Anyone with knowledge of the accident or who may have witnessed it is asked to contact police.
