CLEARFIELD – A man was arrested following an assault involving a knife at the Days Inn.
According to the Lawrence Township Police Department, officers responded to the Days Inn for a report of an assault. They found a woman who was assaulted by her boyfriend in a motel room. She had injuries to her face as well as cuts from a knife.
Police found the man intoxicated in his room and he was taken into custody. While in the room officers noted signs of a struggle; broken items and blood on the walls and bed.
The man was taken into custody and taken to Clearfield County Jail. Due to his level of intoxication, he was not arraigned at that time.
The woman was taken to Clearfield Hospital by Clearfield Emergency Medical Services.
