Daniel L. Conklin Sr. 76, of Clearfield, died Friday, May 13, 2011 at Knickerbocker Villa.
He was born on April 21, 1935 in Clearfield, the son of the late Clarence E. and Eva (Read) Conklin.
He attended Hyde Wesleyan Church and was a member of the CB Club. He enjoyed going to flee markets, auctions and fairs. In the spare time he enjoyed hunting.
Daniel is survived by three daughters: Debbie(Richard) Renwick of Mogadore, OH, Denise(Greg) Ricketson of Ravenna, OH, Wendy(Kiowa) Speck of Akron, OH. A son Daniel LaVerne”Sonny” Conklin Jr. of Ravenna, OH. Survived by a sister Wanda(Al) Bierly of Rochester, MN and a brother Steve(Nancy) Conklin of Mogadore, OH. Six grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Also survived by his life long companion Jennie Laird of Clearfield.
Mr. Conklin is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Bill and Dick Conklin and a grandson Daniel Conklin III.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on May 17 at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Richard Cox officiating
Family and friends will be received 12 p.m. and until the time of service on May 17 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Clearfield EMS.
