Hermena M. Belko, 86 of Hawk Run, passed away on May 11, 2011 at Mt. Nittany Medical Center.
Born May 30, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Coval) Pollock.
She was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Hawk Run and a member of the Jednota Lodge. She was a mother and homemaker.
On July 9, 1956 in Hawk Run, she wed George A. Belko, who preceded her in death on July 27, 2000.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; granddaughter Jennifer Marcinko; sisters Margaret Pollock, Josephine Hanslovan and Matilda Patkalitsky; and brothers John and George Pollock.
She is survived by daugher Diane M. Marcinko and her husband Tom of Gearhartville; son David A. Belko and his companion Barbara Klinefelter of Philipsburg; sisters Stephina Danko and her husband Frank of Hawk Run and Helen Bordas of Philipsburg; brother Lewis Pollock and his wife Anne of Pittsburgh; grandchildren Ryan and Michael Marcinko and Gregory and Carly Belko of Philipsburg and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on May 16 at 10 a.m. at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Hawk Run with the Rev. Robert Horgas as celebrant. Burial will be at the Ss. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on May 15 from 2-4Â and 6-8 p.m. at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, 719 E. Spruce St., Philipsburg. A Vigil service will be conducted by Fr. Robert Horgas in addition to the recitation of the Rosary at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
