LOCK HAVEN — The Clearfield Area High School boy’s tennis team completed their match season with a trip on Thursday to Lock Haven to face Central Mountain.
Picking up Clearfield’s lone point in the 6-1 loss was the number one doubles tandem of Kunal Patel and Ryan Bower.
Singles Results:
1. Ryan Bower (Clfd) lost to Patrick Shaw (CM) in straight sets 3-6, 1-6.
2. Kunal Patel (Clfd) lost to Matt Keiper (CM) in straight sets 0-6, 0-6.
3. Cory Maines (Clfd) lost to Brian Martin (CM) in straight sets 2-6, 2-6.
4. Jordan McAllister (Clfd) lost to Tyrel Fortson (CM) in straight sets 2-6, 3-6.
5. Garrett Timko (Clfd) lost to Logan Struble (CM) in straight sets 0-6, 0-6.Â
Doubles Results:
1. Kunal Patel and Ryan Bower (Clfd) beat Matt Gallagher and Torrin Mauck (CM) in a proset match 8-5.
2. Ben Panebianco and Vince Owens (Clfd) lost to Ben Walker and Troy Gerhardt (CM) in a proset match 2-8.
Clearfield will conclude their season on Monday when they go to DuBois to participate in the District 9 Doubles Championships.
The Bisons finished the season with a record of 1-14. For the second year in a row the team was forced to play all of their matches on the road due to the poor playing surface at the Bison Sports Complex.
