HYDE – Jim’s Sports Center of Clearfield made a successful debut in the Central Penn Teener League 14-and-Under Division Sunday by scoring 10 runs in the first inning and going on to defeat Cummings Motors of Altoona 16-6 at the Bison Sports Complex.
The game was stopped after 4-1/2 innings because of the Mercy Rule.
Zach Krise had two of Jim’s five hits while Logan Puit scored three runs.
Thomas Summers was the winning pitcher.
The second game of the scheduled doubleheader was postponed because of rain.
Jim’s will go to Punxsutawney next Sunday for a twinbill starting at noon.
