On May 1, the Clearfield-Jefferson chapter, the DuBois Chapter, and the Elk-Cameron Counties Chapter will combine resources and create a new chapter, the ARC of the PA Heartland Chapter. The new chapter will be administered out of offices located at 109 N Brady Street in DuBois. Red Cross volunteers will continue to provide Red Cross services supported by staff out of the DuBois office. Currently planned Red Cross events like the Art Auction in Clearfield and the Summer Bash Carnival in DuBois will go on as planned.
Pies– We have several pies available for sale at the Clearfield office, Verry Berry, Blueberry, Cherry, and Apple Dumplings. At the Brookville Office the following pies are available, Verry Berry, Blueberry, Cherry and Apple. Please call 765-5516 for Clearfield and 849-2712 for Brookville.
Donations to the American Red Cross Relief in Japan can be made to the International Relief Fund. If you are interested in giving to the relief effort for the west coast tsunami you can donate to National Disaster Fund. For more information log on to www.redcross.org.
The Red Cross in conjunction with the YMCA will be offering a Guard Start Class. This class is a program for youth ages 10-15 which provides a foundation of aquatic and leadership knowledge, attitudes and skills for the future successful completion of the Red Cross Lifeguarding courses. The cost of this class is $25.00 and includes all materials. The Guard Start class will be held at the YMCA from May 3-31 every Tuesday evening from 6-7pm.
