ST. MARYS — The Clearfield Area High School boy’s tennis team traveled to St. Marys on a cold Friday afternoon to play District 9 counterpart Elk County Catholic. Because of the poor weather, the match had to be moved to the clay courts of St. Marys Area High School.
Eight game proset matches were used instead of the classic best-of-three matches that are generally used.
Notching the lone Bison win in the 8-1 loss was number one singles player Ian Bookhamer, who defeated Shane Mancuso 8-2.
The Bisons dropped to 1-9 on the season and will return to Mountain League play on Monday when they take the long trip to Juniata.
