Robert Stiner, 52 of Waynesboro, PA formerly of Clearfield passed away on April 19, 2011 at the Clearfield Hospital Hospice Unit after a lengthy illness.
He was born on May 27, 1958 in Clearfield and the son of the late Lyle Orvis Stiner and Grace O. (Hamilton) Stiner Lippert of Clearfield.
He was employed by TA Travel Center of America in Greencastle, PA as a Shift Supervisor for eight years and will be sadly missed.
He was affiliated with Assembly of God Church of Golden Rod.
He was a former member of the Clearfield Cycle Club, Hog Back, PA and a former member of the F.O.E. Aerie #812 of Clearfield.
He is survived by his mother, Grace O. Lippert of Clearfield and “Mom” Betty Smith of Clearfield. He was the “Beloved Brother” of Dennis L. Stiner of Clearfield, Ida Stiner Evans of Shawville, Deana Lippert Allen of Morrisdale, Dixie Lansberry of Philipsburg, Luke Stiner of Alaska, Rita Gainer of Clearfield, Lori Bortot of Curwensville and Leann Hubler of Clearfield. Also many nephews and nieces, cousins, aunts and many of his close friends will deeply miss him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lyle Orvis Stiner,”Dad” George Hamilton, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and several close friends.
Friends will be received at Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. of Clearfield on April 22 from 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the services.
Funeral services will be held on April 23 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. of Clearfield with Rev. David Hamilton and Pastor Lowell MacDonald Co-officiating.
The family suggests that contributions be made to Clearfield Abate, c/o Micki Renaud, Treasure, 401 Turnpike Ave., Clearfield, PA 16830 to Benefit St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Remembrance of Robert ‘Biker Bob” Stiner.
