Debra A. (Rusnak) Slogaski, 53, of Fernwood died Friday at the University of Pittsburgh’s Medical Center – Montefiore Hospital.
Born Feb. 18, 1958 in Philipsburg, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Catherine “Tubby” (Laskowsky) Rusnak. She was a parishioner of the St. Barbara’s National Catholic Church, Houtzdale.
She was a 1976 graduate of the Moshannon Valley High School and was a homemaker.
She’s survived by her husband, Ed Gardner of Fernwood; a daughter, Kara Wilson and her husband, Dan of Brisbin; a son, Ed Gardner Jr. and his wife, Meagan of Fernwood; and two grandchildren, Morgan Myers and Dreiden Gardner.
Also surviving are three sisters and a brother, Karen Ross and Joe of Stockton, CA; Renee Baxter and Bob of Ramey; Michael Rusnak and Tammy of Irvona; and Michelle Berry and John of Mifflintown; and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister-in-law, Diane (Lloyd) Gardner.
Friends will be received from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. Monday and from 9 – 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Kruise Funeral Home Inc., Ramey. Â
A Vigil for the Decease will be held at 7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home with Fr. Scott J. Lill officiating.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Barbara’s National Catholic Church, Houtzdale, with Fr. Scott  J. Lill as celebrant. Â
Interment will follow in St. Barbara’s National Catholic Cemetery, Houtzdale.
