Officers were requested to assist a 29-year-old Brockway man who was staying at the Clarion Hotel Tuesday and threatening to harm himself. At arrival, the man was aggressive with officers who detained and transported him to the DuBois Regional Medical Center for evaluation.
A Sandy Township resident reported that he received a phone call from an unknown person Tuesday. The caller attempted to get him to purchase a Microsoft Antivirus program. The call was determined to be a scam.
A Sandy Township resident reported that he received harassing phone calls from a man who appeared to sound “foreign” on Tuesday. The caller stated that she was being sued and someone was coming to her home to arrest her if she didn’t pay immediately. The call was determined to be a scam.
A Sandy Township business person on Wednesday reported discovering a firearm missing from his business. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
A Hanes Drive resident reported that her neighbor’s children were yelling at her Wednesday. Officers handled the situation without further incident.
A Treasure Lake man reported Wednesday that he heard a women yelling for help in the area of his residence. Officers checked the area and couldn’t find anything wrong.
On Thursday a vehicle driven by a 66-year-old DuBois woman pulled into the intersection at the DuBois Mall and also into the path of another driven by a 39-year-old Rockton woman. The two vehicles struck each other. No injuries were reported; one vehicle was towed from the scene.
A Hanes Drive resident reported Thursday that a known woman was sending him text messages and accusing him of stalking her. Officers handled the situation without incident.
While on patrol Thursday, an officer observed a vehicle driving erratically down Shaffer Road and Maple Avenue. After stopping the vehicle, it was determined that the 48-year-old DuBois woman was under the influence of alcohol. She failed a standard field sobriety test and was transported to the DuBois Regional Medical Center for a legal blood draw. Charges are currently pending.
