Police reported an incident of identity theft at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Irvona Township, Clearfield County. A person(s) allegedly used an 18-month-old’s social security number for the purpose of identity theft. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
Police reported an incident of theft that occurred sometime between March 31 and Monday in Pike Township, Clearfield County. A person(s) obtained a 45-year-old Curwensville woman’s e-mail address and password and hacked into her iTunes account. The person(s) completed two transactions, which totaled $84. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
Police reported a single-vehicle accident at approximately 7:20 a.m. Wednesday on state Route 879 in Pike Township, Clearfield County. Diane D. Rougeux, 34, of Kylertown was traveling west along SR 879, when she lost control of her vehicle on a large patch of ice. Her vehicle traveled off the north berm and struck a dirt embankment. She was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the mishap; only minor injuries were reported. Police were assisted at the scene by the Curwensville Volunteer Fire Company, Curwensville Ambulance and Simbeck’s Towing.
