Lois J. Kephart Kovach, 86, of Osceola Mills and formerly of Sanborn died Tuesday at her home.
Born June 2, 1924 in Woodward Township, she was the daughter of the late Albert J. and Minnie E. Albright Baughman. Mrs. Kovach was United Methodist by faith.
She was a housewife and also active in the American Legion Auxiliary, Houtzdale.
She was first married to Wesley V. Kephart Nov. 28, 1940 in West Decatur. He preceded her in death Jan. 16, 1986.
She wed John T. Kovach Sr. April 26, 1997 in Philipsburg. He survives at home in Osceola Mills.
In addition to her parents and first husband, she’s preceded in death by three sisters, Lorna Rowles, Dorothy Haines and Margie Kephart; three brothers, Clark and Stacey Baughman and an infant brother, Albert Baughman; and two sons, Donald and Dale Kephart.
Mrs. Kovach is survived by two step-children, Darlene Smolko and her husband, Michael of Osceola Mills and John T. Kovach Jr. and his wife Toni Kovach of Clearfield and two sisters, Grace Landes of Clearfield and Joanne Kline and her husband, Dale of Curwensville.
Also surviving are three grandchildren, Corey, Lance and Steven Kephart and eight great-grandchildren as well as five step-grandchildren, Michael Smolko, Rebecca, Claire, Vincent and Dominik Kovach.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Heath Funeral Home, Osceola Mills, with the Rev. Harold Harry officiating. Burial will be at the Baughman Cemetery, Houtzdale.
The family will receive friends from 2 – 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
