Wava Collene Wilt, 82, of Lumber City, passed away March 29, 2011 at the Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA
Born May 15, 1928 in Ginter, PA, she was the daughter of John Vincent and Nancy (Hickok) Fulkerson. Mrs. Wilt was retired from the Clearfield Hospital after having worked in the Dietary Department and also as a nurses aid. She was a member of the Hepburnia United Methodist Church and also had attended the Faith Bible Church in Lumber City and had sung in the choirs of both churches.
On Aug. 31, 1946 in Olanta, she wed Marvel E. Wilt who preceded her in death on Nov. 26, 1990. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers Malcolm and Leroy Fulkerson and 2 sisters Violet McClinsey and Twila Bloom. She was the last member of her generation.Â
Surviving are 2 sons Daniel A. Wilt and his wife Sara of Curwensville and Robert M. Wilt and his wife Brenda of Lumber City. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Wilt will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville, on April 4, at 12:0 Noon, with the Reverend Emmett Anderson and Pastor Scott Schultz co-officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Olanta, PA.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on April 3 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., and again on Monday from 10 a.m. until time of services.
The family suggests contributions be made to either the Hepburnia United Methodist Church Grampian, PA, the Faith Bible Church Curwensville, PA, or the charity of the donor’s choice.
