Virginia Ann Hugney, 44 of Clearfield died Wednesday at her home.
Born Feb. 28, 1967, she was the daughter of Melvin B. Hugney of Philipsburg and Betsy (Karchner) Hugney of Clearfield. Also, she spent a segment of her childhood and teen years living with her maternal grandparents, Richard Karchner of Woodland and the late Gloria Karchner.
Ms. Hugney was a 1986 graduate of the Clearfield Area School and attended the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
She’s survived by her parents; one brother, Melvin B. Hugney Jr. of Philipsburg; one step-sister, Pam Acey of Lancaster and her maternal grandfather, Richard C. “Dick” Karchner of Woodland.
Also surviving are several aunts, uncles and cousins and her companion, Robert L. “Bob” Wisor of Clearfield.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Gloria (Woolridge) Karchner.
A public memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 16 at the Bradford Chapel at the Bradford Cemetery in Woodland with the Dr. Duane A. White officiating.
