- A man stated that when he returned to his parked vehicle in the old JJ’s parking lot, an unknown man and woman were hanging out around his car. He asked them what they were doing and they said they were sent to pick up a package that was placed in the rear tire.
- A four-vehicle accident occurred on the Bee Line Highway when a 16-year-old Treasure Lake girl was distracted and hit the vehicle stopped in traffic in front of her. Minor injuries were reported and the 16-year-old girl was taken to DRMC for an evaluation.
March 26,2011
- A 36-year-old Treasure Lake man lost control of his Jeep while traveling on Bay Road. His vehicle overturned and the occupants fell out. One was taken to DRMC for minor injuries.
- A Dagus Mines man reported that while his vehicle was parked at Wal-Mart someone took a trail cam out of it.
- A woman reported witnessing a vehicle hit and severely damage a guide rail by Lowes. The vehicle left the scene. It was found parked at Buck’s Pizza. The 17-year-old driver from DuBois admitted to hitting the guide rail and fleeing the scene due to being scared. Charges are pending.
- A 19-year-old woman reported receiving harassing text messages and phone calls from her 52-year-old mother.
- Officers received a report of a utility pole being hit and wires down on Rockton Road. The vehicle then fled the scene. Following an investigation, officers located the vehicle at DRMC-East. A 35-year-old Sykesville woman had taken the vehicle without her boyfriend’s permission. The investigation continues.
March 27, 2011
- Someone damaged landscaping at the Treasure Lake Church.
- A Juniata Street resident reported someone damaged his mailbox.
- A 23-year-old Penfield woman was stopped at the intersection of Shafer Road and East DuBois Avenue when the red/maroon Chevy Blazer in front of her backed into her vehicle. The driver fled the scene without providing any information.
