Police reported an incident of identity theft that occurred sometime between Jan. 3 and Thursday in Philipsburg Borough, Centre County. A person(s) used a 62-year-old Philipsburg woman’s name, social security number and birth date on federal forms for financial gain.
Police reported an incident of public drunkenness at 7 p.m. Friday at “Playtime Boutique” Adult Store in Huston Township, Centre County. Employees told police that an intoxicated 57-year-old Hopewell, VA man refused to leave the premises. At arrival, the accused was found passed out on the floor, wearing women’s undergarments. He was arrested for public drunkenness and placed in the Centre County Jail.
Police reported an incident of criminal mischief that occurred sometime between 3 p.m. March 22 and 10:30 a.m. Friday in the driveway located along South Eagle Valley Road, Huston Township, Centre County. A person(s) reportedly struck a 50-year-old Julian woman’s 2009 Dodge Avenger with a blunt object, causing a dent above the driver’s side door. Damage is estimated at $500. The investigation is ongoing.

A 20-year-old Philipsburg man was charged with DUI, underage drinking and various summary traffic offenses following a traffic stop. Charges are to be filed through the district court in Philipsburg.
Police reported an incident of underage drinking at 1:27 a.m. Saturday at an East Locust and North Fourth Street address in Philipsburg Borough, Centre County. A 20-year-old Philipsburg man, a passenger of a vehicle during a traffic stop, was found to have consumed alcohol while under the age of 21 years. A non-traffic citation is to be filed through the district court in Philipsburg.
