Police reported a bad check between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. March 17 in Philipsburg Borough Centre County. A 32-year-old Madera woman issued a check to Christoff Mitchell Petroleum of Philipsburg for $40. The check was returned without payment and marked insufficient funds.
Police reported an alleged incident of physical abuse at 3:30 p.m. March 22 in Philipsburg Borough, Centre County. The state police was contacted by Centre County Children, Youth and Family Services about a 15-year-old female who stated she’d been physically abused by a family member approximately two years ago. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
Police reported theft of a motor vehicle that occurred sometime between 6 p.m. March 17 and 8 a.m. March 18 in Taylor Township, Centre County. A person(s) allegedly stole a Ford Sedan that belonged to a 61-year-old Tyrone man. The vehicle was later recovered by the Tyrone Police Department. The incident is believed to be connected with the burglary at Lykens Market in Port Matilda Borough. The incident is still under investigation.
