Phyllis J. (Hamm) Raab, 83, of Ramey, died at 11:20 a.m., March 21, 2011 at the Altoona Regional Health System, Altoona Hospital Campus.

She was born, June 21, 1927, in McCartney, a daughter of the late William and Annie (Katcher) Hamm.

Mrs. Raab was a 1944 graduated of the Madera High School and was a member of the Madera United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and retired as a clerk for the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel, Baltimore, MD.

On Nov. 28, 1946 in the Glen Hope United Methodist Church, she married Frank W. Raab who preceded her in death on Dec. 19, 2007.

Mrs. Raab is survived by a son, Ronald J. Raab, Sr and his wife Mary of Essex, MD.

She is also survived by 3 grandchildren; Ronald J. Raab, Jr , William Raab and Linda Raab-Carter, four great grandchildren.
Â
Two sisters survive, Edith Mosley of Houtzdale and Shirley Dawson of Philipsburg and a number of nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and husband, Mrs. Raab was preceded in death by two sisters; Elizabeth James and Charlotte Molner;Â and four brothers, George, James, William, Jr and Edward Hamm.

Friends will be received on Sat., March 26, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the Kruise Funeral Home, Inc Ramey.
