Detour will be in place
CLEARFIELD – Repair work will close the Trout Run Bridge on Route 4001 (Kettle Creek Road) next week in Leidy Township, Clinton County.
The Trout Run Bridge is located about one-half mile south of the village of Hammersley Fork. Repair work will begin on Monday, March 21 at 7 a.m.
The bridge will be closed each day next week from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a detour in place. The detour will make use of Route 120, Route 144 and Route 4001. Emergency vehicles will be accommodated at the work zone as necessary and the work zone closure will be lifted each night. All work is weather dependent. PennDOT expects to re-open the bridge by 5 p.m. Friday, March 25.
Crews from PennDOT Clinton County maintenance will be making structural steel repairs to the bridge. The bridge is currently posted for a 12-ton weight limit for single vehicles and a 17-ton weight limit for combination vehicles. Making the repairs will improve the load capacity of the bridge and should allow PennDOT to remove or improve the current posting.
Drivers are reminded to obey posted speed limits, follow detour signs, and always buckle up.
