CLEARFIELD – The Marcellus Shale industry has come to taking root n Clearfield County, and with it, jobs for county residents.
The Clearfield County Economic Develpment Corporation’s Web site points to four such businesses. One business, Horizontal Well Drillers in Luthersburg, employs 30 locals, and according to the CCEDC’s posting, is looking for more.
Shortfuse Gasfield Trucking LLC of Bigler was created in February 2010 and has 13 trucks with 21 employees. According to the CCEDC’s Web site, the business looks to expand in the second quarter of 2011 to 25 trucks and as many as 50 locals.
Spenergy Well Services LLC of Bigler is listed as employing between 4-18 locals at any given time.
RNI Trucking of Falls Creek employs about 95 local people.
