STATE COLLEGE – After spending some time away from the road as he prepares to release his major-label debut, Rolling Papers, Pittsburgh Steelers super fan Wiz Khalifa is set to visit Penn State’s Bryce Jordan Center at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 26.
The “Black and Yellow” MC’s latest tour also will feature fellow Pittsburgh artist Mac Miller. The tour also will be promoting environmental awareness by using clean burning biodiesel fuel and using only biodegradable and recyclable products backstage.
Wiz’s successful Waken Baken Tour of last year was just the start of a series of notable wins for the charismatic rapper. The 23-year-old sensation is a nominee for the 2011 mtvU Woodie of the Year Award, and Rolling Papers is set for a March 29 release.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at the Bryce Jordan Center, Altoona Campus Ticket outlet, online at www.bjc.psu.edu or by phone at 814-865-5555. Tickets are $37.50 for the public and $28.50 for University Park Penn State students (w/ ID).
