Police reported an incident of criminal mischief that occurred sometime between 11:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Friday at the Philipsburg-Osceola Area High School. A person(s) allegedly kicked the door of the victim’s, an 18-year-old Philipsburg male, between the above date and time. The incident is still under investigation.
Police reported an alcohol-related accident at 3 p.m. Saturday along state Route 550 near Stable View Drive in Halfmoon Township, Centre County. A 20-year-old Port Matilda male was traveling north, when he was distracted by using his I-Pod. He subsequently lost control of his vehicle and slid off the roadway. He struck a fence and was arrested for DUI.
Police reported an incident of driving under the influence at 3:16 a.m. Saturday in Philipsburg Borough, Centre County. A 30-year-old Sandy Ridge man was observed operating a pick-up and allegedly committing several traffic violations. After contact with him, police discovered that he was under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody for DUI and multiple summary violations with charges to be filed through the district court.
