Mildred G. “Millie” (Traveny) Kizina, 92 of Indiana and formerly of Ramey died Thursday at the Indiana Regional Medical Center. She was the last of her generation.
Born on June 19, 1918 in Winburne, she was the daughter of the late August and Augusta (Potts) Traveny. Mrs. Kizina was a homemaker.
She was married to Ralph Kizina, whom preceded her in death in 1981.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Billie Kizina; two step-sons, Earnest “Sonny” and LeRoy Kizina ; one step-granddaughter, Martha Kizina; one step-daughter-in-law, Janice; one sister, Martha Kizina; and eight brothers, William, George, John, Fred, Walter, Gust “Hans,” Emil and Earnest.
Mrs. Kizina is survived by one daughter, Yvonne Kephart and her friend, John Flango of Indiana and two step-sons, Alvin “Kize” Kizina and his wife, Lettie of Pittsburgh and Richard Kizina of Norristown.
Also surviving are three grandchildren, Bernie Kephart and his wife, Julie of Houtzdale; Brett Kephart and his wife, Denise of Smoke Run; and Holly Myers and her husband, Todd of Indiana; 13 step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 2 – 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m. Sunday and from 12 – 2 p.m. Monday at the Kruise Funeral Homes Inc., Ramey.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Pastor Tina Hawkins and Pastor Charles Harvey officiating. Interment will follow at Beaver Valley Cemetery, Flinton.
