Sara Jane Mattern, 90,formerly of Osceola Mills passed away Saturday, March 5, 2011 at the Mt. Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born April 25, 1920, she was the daughter of the late George and Pearle Mattern.
She was a member of the Osceola Mills United Methodist Church, the PSEA, NEA and POEA.
She graduated from the former Osceola Mills High School, Juniata College and received her Master of Education from Penn State University. Ms. Mattern retired as a school teacher in the Home Economics department from the PO School District.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth L. Mattern and Mary C. Matter and two brothers, George S. and John U. Mattern.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 1 p.m. at the Heath Funeral Home, Osceola Mills with the Paster Jennifer C. Heikes officiating. Burial will be held in the Umbria Cemetery, Osceola Mills on Tuesday from noon until the time of services at the funeral home.
