Angeline M. Macale, 91, of Clearfield died Friday at the Clearfield Hospital.
Born on Nov. 24, 1919, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary (Uliano) Naddeo. She was a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield, where she was a past member of the Rosary and Altar Society.Â
She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America Court #498, the ladies auxiliary of the Sons of Italy Lodge No. 189, Clearfield, the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program through the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging and the Red Hat Society at the Henry E. Myers Towers, Clearfield.Â
Mrs. Macale retired as a nurse’s aide from the Clearfield Hospital after many years of service. She also worked as a volunteer at The Cottage Gift Shop in the Clearfield Hospital and volunteered at the St. Francis School cafeteria.
She is survived by three daughters, Carol Maciag and her husband, Raymond of Gilbert, AZ; Marie Dooner Effort; and Linda Mack and her husband, Larry of Clearfield.
Surviving are seven grandchildren, Karen Clint and her husband, Mark of Budd Lake, NJ; Gregory Maciag and his wife, Gerri of Chandler, AZ; Allison Stock and her husband, Vincent of Chandler, AZ; Sean and Erin Dooner Effort; Joel Mack and his wife, Alicia of Falls Church, VA; and Ashlee Mack and her husband, James Romig of Macomb, IL.
Mrs. Macale’s also survived by eight great-grandchildren and one great great-granddaughter; one brother, Michael Naddeo Payson, of Arizona; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. Macale on Aug. 1, 1956 and whom she married Dec. 4, 1943 and five brothers and five sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield, with the Msgr. H. Desmond McGee, Jr. as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
At the request of Mrs. Macale, there will be no public visitation.
