Benjamin L. Swanson, 21, of Woodland died as the result of an automobile accident Tuesday in Bradford Township.
Born Nov. 7, 1989, he was the son of Robyn L. (Kephart) Swanson of Woodland and the late Ned D. Swanson Jr. He was Protestant by faith.
He enjoyed spending time with friends and family and his Cadillac and shared fond memories of hunting and fishing and being coached baseball by his father.
Mr. Swanson was a graduate of the Clearfield Area High School Class of 2008. He had attended Triangle Tech of DuBois, studying as an electrical technician and had worked at Sheetz in Philipsburg and Wal-Mart in the Tire and Lube Shop.
He’s survived by his mother, Robyn L. Swanson and his sister, Shelby Lynn Swanson of Woodland; his paternal grandparents, Sherry (Rummings) Houser of Hyde and Ned D. Swanson Sr. of Woodland; and by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He’s preceded in death by his father, Ned D. Swanson Jr. on May 9, 2010; his fiancé, Heather A. Edwards on Jan. 8, 2011; and his maternal grandparents, Alfred and Margaret Kephart.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home Inc., Clearfield with the Pastor Sean Patrick Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Bradford Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2 – 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m. Friday and from 1 p.m. until the hour of services Saturday at the funeral home.
