CLEARFIELD – Floodwaters caused by recent heavy rains have receded and PennDOT has been able to re-open US Route 219 in southern Clearfield County.
Effective today at 10 a.m., the following road has re-opened:

U.S. Route 219 in Burnside Township has re-opened northbound and southbound from the intersection of state Route 3004 (Sylvis Road) to the intersection of SR 3014 (Harmony Road). The detour around the closure has been lifted.
Drivers are cautioned that there may be other instances of water on roadways across the region. Do not attempt to drive through standing water on roadways. Water may be deeper than it appears.
