Obituary Notice: Elsie May Marshall

Elsie May Marshall, age 79, formerly of East Maloney Road in DuBois, PA died Feb. 28, 2011 at the home of her son in DuBois, PA. 

She was born on July 28, 1931 in Brady Township in Clearfield County, PA.  She was the daughter of the late Lee I. & Zella A. (Smiley) Selner. 

On Jan. 2, 1953, she married Blair R. Marshall.  He preceded her in death on Sept. 30, 1980. 

She worked for many years as a cleaning person.

She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Luthersburg.  She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, The Women of the Moose, The Swedish-American Club, The Brady Township Alumni, The DuBois Joint Alumni and The Brady Township Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Roger (Zella) Peace of DuBois, PA, two sons, Lee I. Marshall and his wife, Emmie of Gambrills, MD and Daniel B. Marshall and his wife, Debbie of DuBois, PA, three stepsons, LeRoy Marshall of GA, Dale Marshall of CT, and Ralph Marshall of China, 7 grandchildren, 20 step-grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and numerous step great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Eva Burkett, her stepmother, her step son, step daughter and 4 step granddaughters.

Visitation will be held on March 3 from 3-8 p.m. at the Goble Baronick Funeral Home.

The Daughters of the American Revolution will hold a service on Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. from the funeral home.

A funeral service will be held on March 3 at 8 p.m. from the funeral home with Pastor Harold Hills officiating.

Burial will be in Luthersburg Union Cemetery.
