Dolores June Bowman, 82, of Hudson, Philipsburg RD died Saturday at the Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College.
Born June 3, 1928 in Philipsburg, she was the daughter of the late Charles B. and Alice Madeline (Brown) Eboch Sr. Mrs. Bowman was a member of the First Church of Christ, Philipsburg.
At the church, she belonged to the Edith Shimel Missionary Society and taught the Pairs and Spares Sunday School class.
Mrs. Bowman was an employee of the former Philips Hotel and the Dugan Shopping Center in Osceola Mills. She was also a homemaker.
She married William Henry Bowman Sr. on April 15, 1948 in Winchester, VA and who preceded her in death on Sept. 26, 1979.
Mrs. Bowman was survived by two sons, John C. Bowman and his wife, Nancy A. of Morrisdale and Scott A. Bowman and his wife, Chestreann of Osceola Mills and two daughters, Connie L. Westwood and her husband, Glenn of Philipsburg and Heather M. Barnyak and her husband, Michael of Chester Hill.
Surviving are three siblings, Nancy Minarich of Philipsburg; Robert Eboch and his wife, Patricia of Florida; and Franklin Eboch and his wife, Bonnie of Morrisdale; two sisters-in-law, Carol Eboch of West Decatur and Gladys Eboch of Ohio
Also surviving are a daughter-in-law Cindy Wick and her husband, Richard of Hudson; eight grandchildren, Troy R. Bowman, William H. Bowman III, Amber Bell, John P. Bowman, Gregory R. Westwood, Christopher M. Westwood, Kristie R. Gallaher, Melinda J. Muir; and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death one son, William H. “Fred” Bowman Jr.; one grandson, Jeremy Paul Bowman; and two brothers, Charles B. Eboch Jr., and William Eboch.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the First Church of Christ, 1437 Tyrone Pike, Philipsburg, with the Rev. Timothy D. Richmond officiating. Burial will be in Philipsburg Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2 – 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m. Tuesday at the David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home, 228 N. Centre St. Philipsburg.
