Margaret Marie Hummel, 81, of Ft. Pierce, FL and formerly of Osceola Mills passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at the Lawnwood Medical Center, Ft. Pierce, FL.
Born March 28, 1929 she was the daughter of the late William and Annie Patterson.
She was a member of the Ohio United Methodist Church, Osceola Mills; a member of the Woman of the LOOMoose Chapter 1121, Ft. Pierce, OES Clearfield Chapter #379, and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #1645.
On January30, 1960 she wed Marvin L. Hummel who preceded her in death in 1995.
Mrs. Hummel had worked for Sylvania in Houtzdale and as a caregiver in Ft. Pierce. She retired as a waitress from the Little Restaurant in Philipsburg.
She is survived by three sons, Robert A. Walstrom and his wife Linda Sue of Ft. Pierce, Harold Walstrom and his wife Heather of Woodland, Leo Edward Hummel of Osceola Mills; four sisters, Mabel Smith of Warren, OH, Dorothy Wolfe of Ft. Pierce, Frances McConaughey of Ft. Pierce, Vivian Shoemaker of Philipsburg; three brothers, William Patterson of Hookstown, PA, Larry Patterson and his wife Judy of Reedsville, Henry Patterson and his wife Betty of Rehoboth, DE; eighteen granchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Patterson.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Heath Funeral Home, Osceola Mills with the Pastor Jennifer C. Heikes officiating.Â
Burial will be held in the Umbria Cemetery, Osceola Mills.
Friends will be received on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10 a.m until the hour of services.
