HARRISBURG – Gov. Tom Corbett announced that Mary Ann Eisenreich, 59, of McCandless, Allegheny County; Harry Forbes, 62, of Milford Township, Pike County; Adam Gattuso, 36, of Hatfield, Montgomery County; and David Mitchell, 66, of Corry, Erie County, will serve as regional directors for the governor’s office.
Regional office directors serve as liaisons for the Governor and his senior staff to a variety of local constituencies, Corbett said. They also serve local officials and citizens by assuring that the Governor’s administration is aware of local needs and concerns.
Mary Ann Eisenreich – Southwest office
Eisenreich previously served as the executive director of Pennsylvania Women Work!, a leading non-profit organization focused on women’s employment issues.
During her 10-year tenure, the organization grew to be a both a state and nationally recognized organization having helped more than 40,000 women to achieve economic self-sufficiency. Before that, Eisenreich was the founder and director of the Community Education Department at Carlow University. Her background also includes positions at the Bethel Park School District, IBM Corporation and Heinz USA. Eisenreich is married and has three children and four grandchildren.
Adam Gattuso – Southeast office
Gattuso previously worked for Arena Strategies as the managing director of Campaigns and Outreach. He has successfully served as a campaign manager and consultant for many local and state campaigns, helping a vast array of candidates seeking election to public office.
Gattuso also served as the district director for State Sen. Robert Wonderling and was responsible for the daily management of 10 employees and five offices throughout four counties and Harrisburg. Gattuso organized aggressive proactive outreach efforts and with the help of the staff, they were able to increase the offices’ caseloads.
Gattuso has also served as the executive director of Greater Opportunities For Pennsylvanians, a grassroots organization focused on building better communities through service, integrity and results. Gattuso has worked in Southeastern Pennsylvania since 2000. During his career, Adam has been able to build working relationships in Pennsylvania and beyond. Gattuso and his wife, Jennifer, have been married for four years.
David Mitchell – Northwest office
Mitchell began his public service career in 1982 serving as mayor of Corry, Erie County. Following that, he served the Northwest Pa. Lung Association as president and board chairman. Mitchell also served as vice president and board member of the Pennsylvania Lung Association. Mitchell was also appointed by former Governor Thornburgh to the Governor’s
Advisory Council on Libraries, and has been appointed by four Pennsylvania governors and has served six governors over the last 25 years.
Mitchell also served on the Erie County Council and the Board of Directors of the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania. Mitchell and his wife, Nancy, have been married 44 years and have three grown daughters and six grandchildren.
Harry Forbes – Northeast office
Forbes currently serves as Pike County commissioner, a position he’s held since 1996.
During his term, Forbes has been an active advocate for veteran’s services, emergency services, economic development, human services, and modernization of county operations with a strong fiscal responsibility to the taxpayers of Pike County.
Before being elected as a county commissioner, Forbes served as a Milford
Township supervisor from 1992 to 1995. Forbes is a combat veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, having served in Vietnam from 1965 to 1969. Forbes and his wife, Julie, have two grown children.
