Anna Marie (Smarsh) Fyock, 75, of Atlantic, RD Houtzdale, passed away at 10:30 p.m., Feb. 19, 2011 at her residence.

She was born on Oct. 23, 1934 in Spangler, a daughter of the late Andrew Thomas and Anna Marie (Yuknavich) Smarsh.

She was a 1952 graduate of the Barnesboro High School. Mrs. Fyock was a member of the Madera United Methodist Church and was a homemaker. She also worked as a seamstress for 15 years in several area sewing factories.

On May 2, 1953 in Angola, Indiana, Mrs. Fyock married Donald D. Fyock, Sr. He preceded her in death on Dec. 31, 2009.

Mrs. Fyock is survived by the following children; Donald D. Fyock, Jr. and his wife Sherry of Houtzdale, William T. Fyock and his wife Sharon of Brisbin, Robert Fyock and his wife Kim of Smokerun, Pastor Anna M. Fyock of Catawissa, Alvin J. Fyock and his companion Kimmie of Scranton, Catherine Mann and her husband Lester of Bigler, Terri A. Baranchak and her husband Ronald of Madera, Cindy Hazel and her husband Charles of Houtzdale, David J. Fyock and his wife Heather of Scranton and Mark A. Fyock and his wife Christie of Houtzdale.

She is also survived by 30 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.

Mrs. Fyock is survived by the following siblings; Rose Mary Smarsh of Glen Campbell, Robert Smarsh and his wife Esther of Irvona, James Smarsh and his wife Veronica of Saltsburg, Sandy Rebo and her husband Steve of Madera and Fred Smarsh of Glen Campbell. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Fyock was preceded in death by a son Frank Fyock in 1989, a grandson, Donald D. Fyock, III on Sept. 9, 1984, a sister, Patricia Carter and three brothers, William, Andrew and Duane Smarsh.

At the request of Mrs. Fyock, there will be no public visitation.  Memorial Services will be held on Feb. 26 at 2:00 p.m. in the Madera United Methodist Church with Rev. Robert Ford officiating. Mrs. Smarsh’s family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 1 PM until the time of services .
