George F. Coyne Jr., 67 of Philipsburg, passed away on Feb. 16 at Altoona Regional Health Systems, Altoona.
Born March 19, 1943, he was the son of the late George F. Coyne Sr. and Lucy Elizabeth (Rukenbrod) Coyne.
He was of Christian faith and was a gas station attendant at Country Convenience in Houtzdale.
On Sept. 22, 1962 in Clarion, he wed Phyllis J. (Poorman) Coyne, who survives.
He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Anna Marie Coyne.
He is survived by grandchildren Lacie Matier, Eric Matier, George Coyne III, Roger Coyne, Chad Coyne, Joshua Coyne, Sarah Coyne, Randy Nearhood III, Primilla Singer, Bianca Coyne, Nayella Coyne, Noah Twoey, Ashlee Coyne and three great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by daughters Barbara Nearhood and her companion Richard Singer of Chester Hill and Lucy E. Knepp and her husband Dean Knepp of Morrisdale; sons George F. Coyne III and his companion Mary Sisley of Perryopolis, Jonothan Coyne and his wife Violet of Chester Hill, Jeffrey Coyne and his companion Amy Hartley of California (PA), Timothy Coyne of Perryopolis and Joey Coyne and his Angela Twoey of Osceola Mills; and brothes John Coyne and his wife Cindy of North Huntingdon, Robert Coyne and his wife Terry of of Conway, SC and Gary Coyne and his wife Donna of North Huntingdon.
Services will be held on Feb. 18 at 2 p.m. at Heath Funeral Home in Osceola Mills, with the Rev. John Michael Coyne Sr. officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from Noon until the time of services.
