University Park, Pa. — Sophomore Tom Comfort (Orchard Park, N.Y.) has been named the EIVA Tait Player of the Week, conference officials announced Monday. Comfort led the Nittany Lions to two conference victories over the weekend. This is the third honor for the Nittany Lions this season.
Against Rutgers-Newark in a 3-1 victory on Feb. 11, Comfort scored seven points. He posted six kills and one block. The next night against Princeton, Comfort led the team with 12 kills on .500 hitting. He also tallied three aces and two digs. For the weekend, Comfort averaged 3.00 kills per set, .40 aces per set, .33 digs per set, .17 blocks per set and 3.67 points per set.

Penn State is back in action on Friday, Feb. 18 against Mount Olive at 7 p.m. in the South Gym. The Nittany Lions return to the main gym of Rec Hall on Saturday, Feb. 19 at 3 p.m. against Lees McRae.
