CLEARFIELD – An “Evening of Stand-up Comedy” has been scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 19 at the St. Charles Café, Clearfield. The YMCA-sponsored event will feature comedians Mark Matusof of Washington D.C. and Mike Aronin of Maryland as well as one “surprise.”
Matusof was voted by the Washingtonian Magazine as Washington, D.C.’s top comedian. If you heckle Matusof, don’t ask him “What are you a Rocket Scientist?” Matusof has a degree in aerospace engineering and is a rocket scientist. However, he has also performed with David Copperfield and made several appearances on television comedies.
Aronin is a regular at several of Maryland’s comedy clubs and has performed at hundreds of colleges throughout the United States. Due to his slight disability, Cerebral Palsy, he is known as “he weebles, he wobbles, but he won’t fall down.” Aronin regularly can be heard on several of Baltimore’s morning radio shows.
The doors will open at 7 p.m. and the comedians will perform at 8 p.m. The evening is for adults only. Admission is $20 per person and includes finger foods, adult beverages and a night of comedy. Only advance tickets will be sold; none will be available at the door. Please call 765-5521 for more information.
