AUSTIN – An “Owl Prowl” program has been set from 6 – 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18 at the Sinnemahoning State Park.
Participants will learn about the specialized birds as well as the several species of Owls, which call Pennsylvania their home. The park naturalist will meet participants at the Wildlife Viewing Area gazebo for a fascinating look at these predators and their adaptations.
The program includes a short hike along the northernmost section of the Lowlands Trail to listen for their distinctive calls. Participants are asked to meet at the Wildlife Viewing area near the Cameron-Potter county line.
The trail will be easy to navigate, but participants are asked to bring a flashlight and to dress appropriately for the weather. Contact the park office at (814) 647-8401 for more information.
