Olga P. Navarra, 87, of DuBois died Friday at Christ the King Manor.
Born on Aug. 28, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Albina (Fioravant) Navarra. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.Â
She graduated from Sandy High School in 1942 and and then from the DuBois Business College, where she earned her degree in secretarial/office management.
She retired from Bell Telephone of Pennsylvania after 40 years of service. She worked as an operator in the traffic department for 28 years. She was a lifetime member of Bell Telephone Pioneers.
She enjoyed traveling with tour groups and was an avid knitter and crocheter. She also enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and was known for her delicious apple pies. She loved family, especially her nieces and nephews.Â
She’s survived by a brother, P.J. Navarra and his wife, Dorothy of DuBois and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Guido A. Navarra.
Friends will be received from 2 – 5 p.m. Sunday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home, DuBois.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at the St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, with the Fr. David Foradori as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Catherine Cemetery, DuBois.
