CLEARFIELD – With winter upon the region, Clearfield Borough has cut down on their salt usage.
Head of the street department Steve Biancuzzo said that the crew has used about 388 tons of salt this winter. Biancuzzo said the amount is down from last year. He attributed the reduction to the 50/50 salt/anti-skid mix the road crew is now using.
