CLEARFIELD – On Thursday Clearfield Borough Council members learned that the insurance premium for their workers increased more than expected.
According to Operations Manager Leslie Stott, the premium went up 26.1 percent. Council anticipated a 22 percent increase. Stott said she will go back and look at three other providers to see what their rates are.
“It’s advantageous to look,” said Stott.
Council member JimKling urged council members to review whatever plans are put in before them prior to voting on one. Kling, a former code enforcement officer for the borough, said the last time they switched plans it was hard to find service providers in the area willing to accept the plan.
